Dance classes on hold while Abdoulaye heals

Abdoulaye's dance classes are on hold while he heals from his injury.  Watch for a new drum class to start in September.

A big think you to everyone who has visited, called, prayed, or kept him in your thoughts.

Double Friday Fun with Dance and Dun-Dun Dance Classes

Abdoulaye is offering a duoble helping of Friday fun at the new FICA Capoeira Studio at 954 E. Union St. (corner 10th Ave) in Seattle.  The fun starts with Dun-Dun (Sengbe) Dance class at 6:00 where you have the opportunity to learn and play rhythms on the bass drum with sticks while simultaneously executing accompanying dance moves. Can't decide what you like better, making music or moving to it? In this class you don't have to choose.  Even if you've never drummed or danced before, Abdoulaye makes it easy to catch on quickly. Treat yourself to a challenging new experience.

From 7:30 to 9:00 Abdoulaye is offering his traditional high energy Guinean dance class, taught to live drumming. Both of these classes engage your mind, workout your body, and feed your spirit.  Classes are open to everyone.  $15 each or take both together for $25.  Click here for a class flyer.

Sunday Classes Suspended for Summer

Due to the number of summer weekend music and dance festivals, effective immediately, Abdoulaye's Sunday classes are suspended for the summer.  He will resume them in September.  You can now get your weekly fix with Abdoulaye on Fridays at FICA, 954 E. Union St (corner 10th) in Capitol Hill. What better way to kick off your weekend? Dun-dun dance at 6:00 and traditional dance class at 7:30.
